Cozy Tudor Primary Suite

Situated in the heart of Dallas, Texas, this 1926 Tudor underwent a transformative interior redesign aimed at restoring its original charm while addressing the challenges typical of homes from this era, including limited space, a poorly thought-out addition, and layers of bad renovations.

Central to the project was the renovation of the primary bathroom, where we sought to enlarge and modernize the space. By incorporating an adjacent closet we expanded the footprint, allowing for the installation of a spacious walk-in shower and a repositioned vanity. Inspired by the home's architecture and historic character, we opted for timeless marble tiles on the floors and walls, complemented by natural wood accents and olive green wood paneling with tartan wallcovering above, adding personality and depth to the cozy space. In the compact primary bedroom, which is common in homes of this period, we focused on maximizing functionality. The adjacent walk-in closet was expanded to accommodate only the essential furnishings in the bedroom, including a king-size bed, ensuring that every inch of space was utilized effectively.

The result is a harmonious blend of historic charm and modern comfort, where thoughtful design solutions enhance the livability of the home while preserving its unique character and heritage.
